Why Always Forward VTA

Experience is not academic. Experience is lived.

Bridging this gap takes someone who has lived on both sides of it, and who owes the same context and the same empathy to each. That is where alignment comes from.

I grew up in an Army family. My father served 30 years. Two older brothers served before me. I earned my commission through ROTC at Xavier University, served as an Armor Officer in the U.S. Army, and then spent 26 years in corporate leadership across agency, corporate, consultancy, and vendor partner environments spanning a wide range of industries.

That transition from Armor Officer to corporate leader is the proof of concept for what Always Forward VTA does.

I’ve sat on every side of the table. As an Army brat I grew up inside the culture. As an Armor Officer I led Soldiers where the margin for error was zero. I supported the U.S. Army’s advertising and event marketing programs, helping identify and attract the right young Americans to consider service. I spent those 26 years as an executive working with brands across financial services, technology, and consumer goods, and have served on the board of the American Freedom Foundation, a nonprofit supporting Veterans and their families, for 13 years.

That vantage point is not a credential. It’s context. And context is what closes the translation gap.

“I didn’t learn to be an executive in the Army. I became one. My goal is to make sure your next employer sees that.”
